Ever wanted to visit the magic world of Avatar? This summer you can.
This summer, a new Avatar-themed park will open in Disney World, Florida. “Pandora: the world of Avatar” will take fans to the home of the Na’vi world from James Cameron’s iconic 2009 movie Avatar.
In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, construction started back in 2014.
The park, when finished by this summer, will consist of hundreds of wonderous plants and floating mountains.
And when comes the night, the bioluminescent forest will look like this. In fact, the guest will be walking on a cool carpet that changes colors when you step on it.
Or perhaps you’ll prefer the boat ride.
But the best part is the “Avatar: Flight of the Passage” ride, that simulates the riding of a ikranay. “You’re gonna plunge, you’re gonna dive, you’re gonna see the world flying through it,” says James Cameron.
The park will not only comprise of rides and a bioluminescent forest. There’ll be a restaurant called “Satu’li Canteen” with Na’vi art and cultural items, as well as a store named Windtraders selling Na’vi items, science kits and toys.
